BALLS HEAD RESERVE – NORTH SYDNEY
“One of North Sydney’s most significant areas of urban bushland. Situated on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour, this popular picnic spot combines natural beauty with spectacular views.”

BARANGAROO FORESHORE & RESERVE – CBD
“Barangaroo Reserve is Sydney’s newest Harbour foreshore park – marking the transformation of one of the city’s oldest industrial sites into a spectacular, six-hectare headland open space for Sydneysiders and visitors to embrace and enjoy.”
The main path starts at the Hickson Road entrance and encircles Barangaroo Reserve before finishing at the Towns Place roundabout on the other side, but there are several paths branching through the Reserve that you can (and should) stop to wander through along the way.
BERRY ISLAND RESERVE – NORTH SYDNEY
“One of North Sydney’s most delightful and significant areas of harbourside bushland. The small, almost circular island is linked to the mainland by a wide grassed causeway. There are excellent views of the harbour and city from this picturesque reserve.”

BRADLEYS HEAD TO CHOWDER BAY WALK
“Take the Bradleys Head to Chowder Bay walk for beautiful views of Sydney Harbour. This easy walk takes you from Taronga Zoo to the beach and cafes at Chowder Bay.”

FAIRFAX WALK AND LOOKOUT NORTH HEAD
“The heath-covered cliff tops at North Head reveal unending ocean views and a spectacular panorama of Sydney Harbour and the Sydney skyline. Situated on the northern-most edge of the harbour within sight of Hornby Lighthouse on South Head, it’s a relaxing ferry ride from Circular Quay or bus trip from Manly Wharf. You can also reach North Head from the Quarantine Station. The paved Fairfax Walk is easy, gentle and ideal for walking with children. Located at North Head in Sydney Harbour National Park, it’s a great walk for whale watching.”

GLEBE FORESHORE WALK
“The Glebe Foreshore Walk from Bicentennial Park to the Sydney Fish Markets at Pyrmont links over 27 hectares of open space and gives visitors unimpeded public access to Rozelle Bay and Blackwattle Bay.”

HERMITAGE FORESHORE WALK – EASTERN SYDNEY
“The easy Hermitage Foreshore walk is one of Sydney’s great coastal walks. Start at Nielsen Park and take in the views of Shark Island, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the grounds of Strickland House along the way.” NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service

MANLY SCENIC WALKWAY – MANLY TO SPIT BRIDGE WALK
“Also known as the Spit Bridge to Manly Walk, Manly Scenic Walkway is among Sydney’s best walking tracks. Enjoy bush, beach and beautiful views on this excellent day walk.” NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service
